Collect guest photos in Google Drive
Collect guest photos and videos in the Google Drive you already use. Guests scan your QR code, choose their files and upload from their browser. They do not need a Google account or access to your Drive.
How to get started
- 1
Sign in and connect your storage
Connect Google Drive and choose the Google account that will keep your originals. If you already use the app, sign into that same app account before adding another storage connection.
- 2
Create an event and choose its destination
Each event saves its originals to one connection. You can connect several services to your account and choose one for each new event. Adding a service does not move photos from existing events.
- 3
Share your QR code with guests
Text the link, place the QR code at the entrance or display it on a screen. Guests can upload photos and videos during the event and afterward.
Where to find your originals
Open the WeddingQR folder in your Google Drive. Both WeddingQR and GalleryQR use this folder, with a folder for each event and a folder for each guest. Photos use their capture date in the filename when available; videos have their own subfolder.
What access you grant
The Google connection uses permission to manage files created by this app. It does not grant access to the rest of your Google Drive. When Google asks, allow the requested file access so guest uploads can reach your event folder.
Storage questions
- Do guests need an account?
- No. Guests open your link or scan the QR code and upload through their browser. Only the host connects Google Drive.
- What does the $39 payment include?
- One $39 payment unlocks your GalleryQR account for unlimited events, with galleries, QR codes and slideshows. Your storage provider's available space and any plan fees are separate.
- What happens if my storage fills up?
- You need available space in Google Drive to save originals. If it fills up, free space or upgrade your storage plan, then check the connection status in the app. The app does not include unlimited cloud storage.
- Can I access my photos outside the app?
- Yes. Once saved to Google Drive, the originals are in your own account. You can download and keep them using your provider's tools. Their availability depends on your storage account and the provider's terms.
The app also uses working copies to process files and display your gallery. Cloudflare serves images and Mux processes video playback. Our privacy policy explains how that data is handled. Privacy policy.
