Collect guest photos in Dropbox
Collect guest photos and videos into your Dropbox with a QR code. Guests upload from their phone browser and can view the event gallery when sharing is enabled. They do not need a Dropbox account.
How to get started
- 1
Sign in and connect your storage
Open Connected storage in your existing app account, select Connect Dropbox and approve access to the app folder. Then select that Dropbox connection when creating a new event.
- 2
Create an event and choose its destination
Each event saves its originals to one connection. You can connect several services to your account and choose one for each new event. Adding a service does not move photos from existing events.
- 3
Share your QR code with guests
Text the link, place the QR code at the entrance or display it on a screen. Guests can upload photos and videos during the event and afterward.
Where to find your originals
In Dropbox, open Apps, then GalleryQR. Your originals are organized there with a folder for each event and each guest. You can use Dropbox to download, sync or organize those files after the event.
What access you grant
Dropbox grants access to this app's folder only. Your other Dropbox folders are outside that permission. You can connect Dropbox to the same app account you already use with Google Drive or OneDrive, even if the emails differ.
How does this compare with Dropbox File Requests?
Dropbox already offers File Requests, which let people send you files without a Dropbox account. That can be enough for simple collection. This app adds an event gallery, customizable QR codes, guest organization and a live slideshow for your venue.

- Do guests need an account?
- No. Guests open your link or scan the QR code and upload through their browser. Only the host connects Dropbox.
- What does the $39 payment include?
- One $39 payment unlocks your GalleryQR account for unlimited events, with galleries, QR codes and slideshows. Your storage provider's available space and any plan fees are separate.
- What happens if my storage fills up?
- You need available space in Dropbox to save originals. If it fills up, free space or upgrade your storage plan, then check the connection status in the app. The app does not include unlimited cloud storage.
- Can I access my photos outside the app?
- Yes. Once saved to Dropbox, the originals are in your own account. You can download and keep them using your provider's tools. Their availability depends on your storage account and the provider's terms.
The app also uses working copies to process files and display your gallery. Cloudflare serves images and Mux processes video playback. Our privacy policy explains how that data is handled. Privacy policy.
